CAI SoCo is Seeking Volunteers!

Nominating Committee

We are looking for members to serve on the Nominating Committee to develop the slate for the coming year’s Board of Directors. This committee will evaluate candidates and put forth a slate of nominees to the membership. We need 3 volunteers to help us right away!

The Nominating Committee is to be comprised of the following:

• Member of the Chapter (Homeowner Leader or Business Partner) - Open
• Member of Chapter (Business Partner) - Open
• Member of Chapter (Homeowner Leader) – Open
• Immediate Past President – Heather Smith
• President Elect – Jessica Walker

We also are calling for interest in serving on the CAI SoCo Board of Directors. Currently, we have the following positions for election for the Board of Directors:

• Business Partner
• Homeowner Leader
• Director At Large (Manager or Homeowner Leader)

To run for a position on the board of directors please fill out the online Board Candidate Form at https://caisoco.wufoo.com/forms/cai-soco-board-member-candidate-information-sheet/.

To be included as a candidate, the online form must be received no later than 5:00 PM on July 14th. The Information provided on the form will be presented to the members as provided to the Nominating Committee.

We look forward to receiving your Board Candidate Forms by 7/14/23 and seeing you at CAI SoCo's Annual Meeting where the election results will be presented on 9/12/23.

2023 May Education Luncheon

Topic: State of the Insurance Market

Join us Tuesday, May 9th as we hear about the current state of the insurance market for community associations in Colorado. Tressa Bishop, MBA, CIC, CIRMS, Executive Vice President with USI Insurance Services, will provide a property and liability market update, discuss claims reporting issues managers and Boards need to be aware of, and provide a sneak peek into what to expect later in 2023 and beyond.

Presenter:  Tressa Bishop, MBA, CIC, CIRMS

Tressa has been with USI Insurance Services since 2016 with a primary focus on the non-profit sector, including large community associations, school districts, and municipalities. She is a state and national speaker on insurance matters. 

Tressa obtained her B.A. in social sciences from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO and her M.B.A., concentration in finance, from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ. She holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation through The National Alliance, as well as the Community Insurance Risk Management Specialist (CIRMS) designation through Community Associations Institute.

Join us for networking, a delicious gourmet lunch, and an education session all in one! 1 CE credit for those holding the CMCA designation.

Registration closes the Friday before the event at 5pm MST. The event begins at 11am with networking, lunch, and our presentation after.
