Melissa Garcia, Esq. is a shareholder at Altitude Community Law P.C. and an HOA enthusiast! She provides advice and counsel to Colorado community associations in all areas of community association law. With 25+ years of experience under her belt, Melissa has represented a vast range of communities, emphasizing on transactional law, including rewriting governing documents, issuing opinion letters, reviewing contracts, and assisting with general counsel representation of associations.
A frequent lecturer, Melissa speaks both locally and nationally. She presents an annual series of association workshops for various Colorado cities and regularly teaches for both Altitude Community Education (“ACE”) and the Community Association Institute (“CAI”). In 2023, Melissa received the Servant Leader of the Year award, CAI-Southern CO Chapter, and the Influence of the Year award, CAI-Rock Mtn. Chapter; in 2021 Melissa received the Excellence in Education Award, CAI-Rocky Mtn Chapter and the Committee Chair of the Year Award, CAI-Southern CO Chapter; and in 2012 Melissa received the Educator of the Year Award, CAI-Southern CO Chapter.
